Ridge Road Run

OUR STORY

Prior to the pandemic we had seen the devastating effects of mental illness and suicide in our community. In 2018, seven students from three local high schools: Red Bank Regional High School, Red Bank Catholic and Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School decided to make a change. They came together to form the Ridge Road Run 5K to increase mental health awareness and raise funds for mental health programming and supports for their schools.

2020-2021 has brought on an entirely new set of mental health challenges for students and the world. This year, we launched the Ridge Road Run Ambassador Programs at all three High Schools (RBR, RBC, RFH). These students will continue the tradition of their successors and put school rivalries aside and come together as one community. Our goal is to raise awareness of suicide and mental health, build a stronger community with each other, and raise money for our schools to be used for mental health awareness and educational purposes.
